Wow. I am ashamed to say the fish and chip shop selling these crispy, coronary inducing confections was closed so I haven't had a chance to sample one. But, rest assured when I next visit Bruton I'll give one a try and tell you all about it.
I just love the line, "Cadbury's may splatter 'em, but we batter 'em". Surely someone from Publicis is behind this!

Jonathan - why not batter one and fry it yourself? Why wait! (eeeewwwww).
Right. Seems like you've "laid" down the challenge!
Maybe we could have an Easter Egg themed battering event!
Yes perhaps we could! I am really 'egging you on' now.
Not more puns! I've had enough "pun-ishment" for one month!
Haha, that's crazy! A nice festive take on the battered mars bar.
Exactly that Mark. I wish I'd said that.
Here's an idea though if you do make your own - try a chocolate beer batter! Meantime's brew is pretty good!
Chocolate beer batter - sounds brilliant. Great idea. It has gone in my "ideas box"
Wonderful! Want to try one.
@MsMarmitelover - maybe you should put one on your Easter menu!
Yuck!
That is truly a feat in the art of deep-frying. I want one, but I'm afraid that means there's something desperately wrong with me.
@Del - this is definitely one to read about rather than try! Although. I might give it a go through sheer curiosity!
What an idea to hatch.
Smashing stuff Douglas. Free the eggs from the evil yolk of traditional cooking.
awesome.....
Honestly, these do sound strangely alluring!
@Manuel - thanks for popping over. Awesome is one of the best words to describe this. Wrong is another.
@Kritsa - so very alluring. I can resist everything except temptation. Or something like that.
